The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald (2026): Bm/62
Alternate
This is my cover of The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot. An iconic song/story played out in 6/8 time. I tried to convey movement in this song with sliding bass notes, Slide guitar moving between chords and the Bass vocal background moving as well. All designed to simulate the feeling of a ship on rough seas. I sang the melody in a lower vocal register to add some darkness to the song. I found a cool vocal done by a group called Home Free on YouTube and that gave me the idea for some bass background vocal parts (the Boom and Bang words)
