No Excuses (2025)

This is my cover of No Excuses by Alice In Chains. I love a lot of their music and their vocal prowess is amazing. I bought this song from JamTrax and used their Drums as well as their vocals. The song utilizes parallel fourths and major thirds in the vocal harmonies, meaning the voices move in parallel motion, maintaining the same interval relationship with each other. The harmonies sometimes employ oblique motion, where one vocal line stays on the same note while the other moves, creating a sense of tension and release. I briefly tried to sing the parts and quickly decided to let the Studio singers tackle this.

I also love the Bass lines on most of Alice In Chains songs and I came up with my own bass lines for some of this.
