Honky Tonk Man (2024)

My cover of Johnny Horton - Honky Tonk Man. This was written and released in 1956 but updated and released again in 1962. I also copped some parts (blues shuffle rythm) from Dwight Yoakam's version from 1986. This is one of many Honky Tonk genre songs...which blended Blues, Early Rock and Country. Love the genre.

Vocals - Me with lots of delay and reverb
Drums - I played these on my Midi Keyboard drum pads. Track 1 is the Kick. Track 2 is the side snare. Track 3 is the Tophat
Bass - My Vantage bass
Acoustic - My Seagull Artist on 2 tracks. Panned 22% Right and 22% Left.
Electric Guitar - My Fender Strat for licks and lead. Lots of reverb on this. Panned 100% Right
Electric Guitar - My Fencer Strat with lots of palm muting to provide the "boom chucka boom" sound of those times. Panned 100% Left
